The Founder
Planet Bake began with a childhood ritual that shaped how I think about food, comfort, and care.
Every Tuesday after school, my cousins and I would walk up the street to our grandmother’s house. Before we even opened the door, the smell of fresh donuts filled the hallway. We would sit together at her kitchen table, talk about our day, laugh, and share warm donuts. It wasn’t just a treat. It was a ritual. A pause. A moment of connection that made everything else slow down.
Growing up between Germany and the United States, those Tuesday afternoons became an anchor. They represented family, tradition, and the simple joy of food made with intention. But as I got older, I began to see a different side of the foods I loved. Sugar-heavy treats were increasingly linked to diabetes, inflammation, and chronic disease. The comfort foods of my childhood were often the very things people were told to give up.
Years later, during the pandemic, I found myself craving that feeling again. The warmth of my grandmother’s kitchen. The sense of ritual. The joy of a donut that felt comforting, not compromising. But I couldn’t find a donut that aligned with how I wanted to feel in my body.
So I reinvented her donut. The comfort and nostalgia I grew up with, without the sugar crash.
What began in my kitchen turned into Planet Bake, built on the belief that indulgence can be reimagined. Our donuts are thoughtfully made to support steady energy and modern wellness, without sacrificing taste or nostalgia.
Planet Bake is my way of bringing that Tuesday ritual back. A donut that fits into real life. Proof that donuts can be joyful, comforting, healthier, and irresistibly delicious.

We use a few simple ingredients
What is Allulose?
We believe in sweet experiences without compromise.
That’s why we choose allulose (a natural “rare sugar”) instead of traditional sugar or sugar alcohols. It’s a simple sugar (monosaccharide), but it’s distinct in how your body handles it. Unlike table sugar (sucrose), allulose you eat is not metabolized. Because it isn’t used as fuel, it has very few calories (almost zero) and no effect on blood sugar.
What You Can Expect When You Taste Something Sweetened with Allulose
Allulose tastes almost exactly like sugar, but less sweet and offers a clean, natural sweetness without any weird or heavy aftertaste. You won’t experience the usual sugar crash. It’s also easy on the stomach. Most people digest allulose well, though like with any sweetener, having too much at once may cause some discomfort.
